BIO
Dan Arcamone is a jazz guitarist, composer, and educator based in Norwalk, Connecticut, known for his dynamic blend of jazz, rock, and fusion influences. A graduate of Western Connecticut State University and The Jackie McLean Institute at Hartt School of Music, Arcamone began playing guitar as a teenager and developed his sound through deep study of artists like Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, and Allan Holdsworth. His playing is marked by technical precision, harmonic depth, and a melodic sensibility that bridges modern jazz with adventurous improvisation.
As a bandleader and recording artist, Arcamone has released a series of acclaimed albums including In Motion, In Colors, Psalm, and his ongoing Standards series, with his latest project ASTRLPLNE (2025) expanding his creative reach. He has performed and recorded with musicians such as Steve Pruitt, Tony Grey, and John Stowell, and his compositions often reimagine traditional harmonic structures through innovative arrangements and modal exploration.
Beyond performance, Arcamone is an active educator and author, publishing works like Melodic Continuity and Counterpoint Exercises on Familiar Chord Progressions, along with a comprehensive Dan Arcamone Songbook. His teaching philosophy emphasizes authenticity, creativity, and collaboration—values reflected throughout his music. Continually evolving, Dan Arcamone remains a vital voice in contemporary jazz guitar, uniting deep musical intellect with expressive, genre-crossing artistry.
